• One of the overall goals for Alpha Strike in the coming year(s) will be to improve the new player experience in the rulebook, and streamline playing the game in general. One part of that is having more information on setting up a game. While there are plans to have campaign play defined in MechCommander's Handbook, and tournament play defined in either tournament packets or perhaps even a tournament rules book, the plan is to include single game, show up and play rules in the main rulebook. This beta is a proposal for how such a format might be included in a future Alpha Strike rulebook.

• There is no timeline on a new rulebook or when this beta will end. You may discuss the format anywhere you like, but please note the instructions to email feedback if you want to ensure its read. Thanks!
